INFORMATION SERVICES

ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES - Animal control for Springfield is provided by Bay County Animal Control, 850-784-4005. Animals picked up by Bay County Animal Control will be transported to their facility located at 604 Bayline Dr., Panama City, Fl.

Housing for animals voluntarily surrendered will be provided by The Humane Society, 850-763-3923.

The Utilities Department may be reached at (850) 872-7570, Ext. 113 or 115.

Water, sewage and garbage deposit at locations where there have been previous services is as follows:

          Water $50.00

          Sewer $100.00

          Garbage/Trash $25.00

Locations where there have been no previous services may be subject to tap and impact fees.

SPRINGFIELD CABLE PUBLIC INFORMATION

CHANNEL  4

Personal advertisements, greetings, etc. can be aired over Channel 4 at the rate of only $10.00 per week.

Commercial advertisements are aired at a rate of $25.00 per week.

Public notices for non-profit organizations will be aired at no cost as long as such notices benefit the public as a whole.

 


SPRINGFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER

The Springfield Community Center is the primary location for all of Springfield's indoor events. In addition to being used by the City it is also available for other public and private events. The Center is a very popular facility because of it's versatility and reasonable rental rates. Many wedding receptions, music events, church and business events are held there.

The Community Center auditorium has a large fully equipped kitchen with service windows into the auditorium and lobby. The auditorium is 72' x 44', fully carpeted to the dance floor and has a seating capacity of up to 450 people. There is a 16' x 24' stage, wired for sound.

Suites with seating capacities of up to 75 people are also available. These suites have separate entrances and also access the auditorum.

Buddy McLemore Park is adjacent to the Community Center. There you will find a playground for smaller children, basketball and tennis courts, a football field with a consession stand and public restroom facilities.

There is ample parking for both the Community Center and the park.

RATES:

Auditorium: Rental fee is $300.00 per day, a refundable reservation fee of $50.00 and a refundable damage/cleaning deposit of $275.00. Cash or money order only.

Suites: Rental fee is $50.00 with a refundable damage/cleaning deposit of $50.00. Cash or money order only.
