SPRINGFIELD'S ELECTED
OFFICIALS
Springfield
is governed by a Mayor and four City Commission members, each
representing a Ward. All serve two-year terms. The Mayor
and Commissioners of Wards Three and Four are elected one year
(next election, April, 2007) and the Commissioners of Wards
One and Two are elected the next year (next election, April ,
2008). The Mayor chairs and is a voting member of the City
Commission.

Robert Walker
has been a resident of Springfield virtually all of his life. He is
a respected contractor in the area. Mayor Walker is serving his
fourth term in office. |

Carl Curti is
currently in his fourth term as City Commissioner. He was
raised in Springfield and is a building contractor, well known in
the area. |

Ralph
Hammond was sworn in as Commissioner of Ward 2 April
25th, 2006. Mr Hammond is a retired Air Force and Vietnam
Veteran. He has resided in Springfield since 1983. He has been
married to Jeanie Daniels Hammond since 1985. He has been involved
in City government, was an employee in the Department of Public
Works and expresses a sincere interest in the affairs of
Springfield. |

Jimmy Talley
is a resident of Springfield and is a Lieutenant with the
Panama City Fire Department. He is currently serving his first
term as Commissioner. |
