SPRINGFIELD'S  ELECTED  OFFICIALS

Springfield is governed by a Mayor and four City Commission members, each representing a Ward. All serve two-year terms. The Mayor and Commissioners of Wards Three and Four are elected one year (next election, April, 2012) and the Commissioners of Wards One and Two are elected the next year (next election, April , 2013). The Mayor chairs and is a voting member of the City Commission.
